Base metals on the London Metal Exchange (LME) traded largely lower in the latest session, with most contracts witnessing mild declines despite strong medium-term gains.
Primary aluminium was trading at 3,068.50, down 0.53%, though it remains up 9.34% over three months and 19.07% over six months.
Grade A copper slipped 0.12% to 12,838.00, but continues to show strength on a broader timeframe, gaining 20.14% over three months, 32.06% over six months, and 34.32% over one year.
Nickel declined 0.75% to 17,300.00, even as it remains up nearly 19.68% over three months and 14.99% over six months.
Lead fell 0.76% to 1,953.00, reflecting continued short-term pressure. Tin dropped 0.36% to 45,830.00, though it has rallied 23.75% over three months and more than 37% over one year.
Zinc eased 0.67% to 3,347.50, but is up 11.45% over three months and 20.15% over six months.
Overall, LME metals are witnessing short-term consolidation after strong multi-month gains, particularly in copper, tin and zinc.
