Gold prices in Jaipur edged lower on Thursday, January 22, mirroring the broader correction seen in domestic bullion markets after gold touched record highs in the previous session.

As per the latest available rates, 24-carat gold in Jaipur is priced at Rs 15,446 per gram, while 22-carat gold is trading at Rs 14,160 per gram. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is available at Rs 11,588 per gram.

The decline in prices follows a pullback in MCX gold after a sharp rally driven by global risk-off sentiment. Gold had surged earlier amid escalating geopolitical tensions across the US, Europe, Greenland, and the Russia-Ukraine region, prompting investors to seek safe-haven assets.

However, some profit booking at elevated levels and a marginal dip in international spot gold prices led to a correction in domestic markets, including Jaipur.

Despite the day’s dip, gold prices continue to trade near record levels and remain supported by ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and volatility in global currencies.
