Gold prices in Kolkata traded higher on Monday, February 9, in line with firm global cues and gains seen in domestic bullion markets. The eastern metro’s rates were broadly aligned with national averages.
As per the latest data, 24-carat gold in Kolkata is priced at Rs 15,884 per gram, while 22-carat gold stands at Rs 14,560 per gram. 18-carat gold is currently quoted at Rs 11,913 per gram.
On a quantity basis, 10 grams of 24K gold costs Rs 1,58,840, whereas 10 grams of 22K gold is priced at Rs 1,45,600. The movement mirrors strength in international gold prices, supported by safe-haven demand amid global uncertainty.
Domestic prices have also tracked gains in MCX gold futures during early trade, while currency stability has helped limit volatility. Demand conditions in Kolkata remained steady, especially with ongoing interest from retail buyers.
Gold prices are indicative and exclude GST, TCS, and making charges, which vary across jewellers.
