MCX commodities traded mixed on Wednesday, February 12, with bullion under mild pressure while base metals and natural gas posted gains in early trade.

Silver was down 0.35% at Rs 2,62,100 per kg, declining by Rs 918. Gold also edged lower by 0.11% to Rs 1,58,580 per 10 grams, slipping Rs 175.

Among base metals, copper rose 0.35% to Rs 1,252.30 per kg, gaining Rs 4.40, while zinc was up 0.30% at Rs 329.95 per kg, adding Rs 1.

In the energy segment, crude oil traded 0.25% lower at Rs 5,881 per barrel, down Rs 15. In contrast, natural gas surged 0.66% to Rs 290.4, gaining Rs 1.9.

Overall, the commodity market reflected a cautious tone, with investors tracking global cues, US economic data and movements in the dollar index. Bullion remained slightly weak, while industrial metals and gas showed resilience in early session trade.
