
Intending to expand the supply and availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), Embraer (NYSE: ERJ; B3: EMBR3) is thrilled to announce today that it has partnered with United Airlines Ventures (UAV) Sustainable Flight FundSM. Launched in February 2023, the UAV Sustainable Flight Fund has gained significant traction and currently has 22 corporate partners who have committed to investing over $200 million in advanced firms that are focused on decarbonising the aviation sector.

A key component of attaining aviation sustainability, and increasing SAF production is the objective of the UAV Sustainable Flight Fund. When compared to traditional jet fuel, the utilisation of renewable energy sources can cut greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80%. Embraer’s investment in the fund demonstrates the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility and is in line with its objective of achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2040.
The goal of the UAV Sustainable Flight Fund is to increase the production of SAFs, which is essential to attaining aviation sustainability. When using renewable energy sources instead of traditional jet fuel, greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by as much as 80%. By contributing to the fund, Embraer is demonstrating its commitment to environmental responsibility and advancing its objective of having carbon-neutral operations by 2040.
Embraer’s sustainability plan includes the successful completion of 100% neat SAF flight tests. The company also keeps looking for innovative methods to lessen its environmental effects, including key alliances and research and development on zero-emission alternative engine systems.
