VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has entered into an agreement with Baidyanath LNG Pvt Ltd to deploy 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks. The deal, finalized at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, aims to boost the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in long-haul transportation and establish LNG corridors across Central India.
This collaboration builds on an earlier partnership signed in August 2024, marking the launch of the first fleet of Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks at Baidyanath LNG’s Nagpur station. Together, VECV and Baidyanath LNG will enhance India’s LNG ecosystem by deploying trucks with fleet operators, training technicians on LNG technology, and building a strong LNG fueling network.
The Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck, powered by Volvo’s proven engine technology, features a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine delivering 260 HP and 1000 Nm of torque. It also offers driver comfort with an air-suspended seat and HVAC, alongside advanced telematics and predictive diagnostics through the My Eicher app and Uptime Centre for real-time insights and support.
This agreement reflects VECV’s commitment to sustainable, cleaner transportation solutions for India’s long-haul sector. With over 1,000 service touchpoints, VECV provides comprehensive customer support for its trucks, strengthening India’s modern commercial transportation infrastructure.
