TVS Motor Company reported a 10.1% YoY growth in revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, reaching ₹11,134.63 crore, compared to ₹10,113.94 crore in Q3 FY24. Sequentially, revenue slightly declined from ₹11,301.68 crore in Q2 FY25.
The company’s EBITDA grew 17% YoY to ₹1,081 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹924 crore in Q3 FY24. The EBITDA margin improved to 11.9% from 11.2% in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, profit before tax (PBT) rose 8% YoY to ₹837 crore, up from ₹775 crore in Q3 FY24.
TVS Motor’s net profit surged 19.5% YoY, reaching ₹609.35 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹509.61 crore in the same quarter last year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, net profit increased from ₹588.13 crore in Q2 FY25.
Cumulative Nine-Months Performance
For the nine months ended December 31, 2024, TVS Motor recorded a 13% YoY revenue growth, with revenue reaching ₹32,843.17 crore, compared to ₹29,102.27 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s EBITDA for the nine-month period stood at ₹3,121 crore, up 21% YoY, compared to ₹2,582 crore in the same period of the previous year. PBT for the period rose 19% YoY to ₹2,517 crore, up from ₹2,109 crore in the nine months ended December 2023. The net profit for the nine-month period surged 16% YoY, reaching ₹1,858 crore, compared to ₹1,598 crore in the previous year.
TVS Motor continues to witness strong sales growth across its product segments. The company’s two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, grew 10% YoY, registering 12.12 lakh units in Q3 FY25, compared to 11.01 lakh units in Q3 FY24. Motorcycle sales increased by 6% YoY to 5.56 lakh units, while scooter sales rose 22% YoY to 4.93 lakh units. Three-wheeler sales for the quarter stood at 0.29 lakh units.
Electric scooter sales in the quarter saw a sharp 57% YoY growth, reaching 0.76 lakh units, compared to 0.48 lakh units in the same period last year.
