Toyota Kirloskar Motor records 44% YoY growth in November 2024

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian arm of the Japanese automotive giant, posted an impressive 44% year-on-year (YoY) sales growth in November 2024. The company sold 25,586 units, up from 17,818 units in the same month last year. Additionally, exports stood at 1,140 units.

In the first eight months of FY 2024-25, Toyota achieved total sales of 2,19,054 units, reflecting a 39% YoY increase over the 1,63,636 units sold during the same period last year. The growth was driven by strong demand for Toyota’s MPV and SUV portfolio, including popular models like the Fortuner, Innova Hycross, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Notably, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone in November 2024. The Hyryder, launched in July 2022, offers petrol, CNG, and strong hybrid variants, competing with segment leaders like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Prices for the Hyryder range from ₹11.14 lakh to ₹20.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Innova Hycross, introduced in November 2022, is a premium iteration of the Innova Crysta. With a starting price of ₹19.77 lakh, the MPV offers a luxurious experience, driving robust demand and long waiting periods of up to eight months.
