Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported total sales of 71,066 units in January 2026, registering a sharp 47.1% year-on-year growth compared with 48,316 units sold in January 2025, according to a regulatory filing and press release issued on February 1, 2026 .
Domestic passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, stood at 70,222 units during the month, up 46.1% from 48,076 units a year ago. International business volumes rose sharply, with PV IB sales increasing to 844 units from 240 units in January 2025, reflecting a growth of 251.7% .
Electric vehicle sales, including domestic and international markets, climbed to 9,052 units in January 2026, compared with 5,240 units in the year-ago period, marking a 72.7% year-on-year increase. The company noted that EV figures include sales from Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, its subsidiary .
The January performance highlights strong momentum across Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ domestic portfolio as well as a significant expansion in overseas volumes at the start of 2026.
