SML Isuzu reports 10% decline in September 2025 vehicle sales

SML Isuzu Limited has released its sales figures for September 2025 under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. The company reported total sales of 950 units during the month, compared to 1,055 units in September last year, reflecting a decline of about 10 percent. Cargo vehicle sales stood at 370 units against 407 units a year earlier, registering a 9 percent drop, while passenger vehicle sales slipped 10 percent to 580 units from 648 units in the same month of 2024.

Although the September numbers show a slowdown, the performance for the April to September 2025 period presents a more encouraging picture.

During the first half of the financial year, SML Isuzu sold 8,145 vehicles in total, compared to 7,627 units in the corresponding period last year, marking a growth of 7 percent. Cargo vehicles were the key driver of this growth with sales rising to 2,422 units from 1,879 units, an increase of 29 percent. Passenger vehicles, on the other hand, remained largely stable with 5,723 units sold versus 5,748 units in the first half of the previous year, indicating only a marginal decline of 0.4 percent.
