Royal Enfield has released the new Guerrilla 450 in India, after the success of the Himalayan 450 last year. It is worth noting that the Himalayan is the donor model for the Guerrilla 450, therefore the two motorcycles share some components. The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is priced at ₹2.39 lakh ex-showroom introductory.
There are three versions of the Guerrilla 450 available: Analogue, Dash and Flash. The Guerrilla 450 is designed to be a city roadster, whereas the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is an adventure tourer.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Features
The Guerrilla 450 is powered by the Sherpa 450 engine, which also powers the Himalayan 450. This 452 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine produces 40 Nm of maximum torque at 5,500 rpm and 39.52 bhp at 8,000 rpm. It features a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch included in it.
The all-digital instrument cluster on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is the same as that of the Himalayan 450 and it supports Google Maps. On the other hand, the lower variant features an analogue instrument cluster with a digital display and Tripper pod. Furthermore, there is a USB connector for charging mobile devices and hazard lights.
Royal Enfield uses a tubular frame with the engine as the stressed member. The front suspension is 43 mm telescopic forks, while the rear is a monoshock. It comes with 140 mm of travel in the front and 150 mm in the back. Braking is handled by a 310 mm disc in the front and a 270 mm disc in the rear. There are 17-inch alloy wheels available, with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres.
