Royal Enfield has officially confirmed the launch of the Classic 650 Twin in January 2025, marking it as the new flagship model in the Classic lineup. Unveiled at Motoverse 2024, this retro-inspired motorcycle is based on the Shotgun platform while staying true to the Classic series’ iconic design ethos.

Classic 650 Twin Design & Features

The Classic 650 Twin closely resembles its smaller sibling, the Classic 350, but boasts a more muscular appearance. Key design elements include a retro-styled LED headlamp, tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, chrome-finished twin exhausts, and wire-spoked wheels. The motorcycle features 43 mm Showa front forks, twin rear shocks, and a wider rear fender.

Available in four striking colors—Teal, Vallum Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, and Black Chrome—the bike exudes timeless appeal. It also comes equipped with a host of modern features, such as an analogue instrument console with digital readouts, a Tripper navigation system, adjustable levers, and full LED lighting.

Performance & Specifications

Powering the Classic 650 is the 648 cc parallel-twin engine, producing 46.3 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque, paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox. This engine also powers Royal Enfield’s Interceptor, Continental GT, and Super Meteor. The Classic 650 is the brand’s heaviest bike, weighing 243 kg (kerb).

For enhanced safety, the bike comes with dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at both ends.

Upcoming Royal Enfield Launches

In addition to the Classic 650, Royal Enfield plans to launch the Scram 440 and introduce a new color for the Guerrilla 450 in January 2025.
