Porsche Macan EV launched in India; Prices start at Rs 1.21 crore

Porsche has unveiled the Macan EV 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo with a starting price of ₹1.21 crore (ex-showroom). The all-electric SUV now comes in three trim levels, including the flagship Turbo Electric, priced at ₹1.68 crore, replacing the outgoing model that started at ₹1.65 crore.

The Porsche Macan Turbo Electric delivers an impressive 576 bhp, with power boosted to 630 bhp and 1,130 Nm using Launch Control and Overboost. The Turbo 4S variant, producing 442 bhp, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds (claimed). It also includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Torque Vectoring Plus, and rear-axle steering for superior handling.

The Macan EV features a 100 kWh battery pack based on Porsche’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. Supporting rapid charging up to 270 kW, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. The electric SUV offers a WLTP range of 518-590 km, extending to 762 km in urban driving conditions.

The Macan EV combines elegance and sportiness with design cues from the Porsche Taycan. Notable features include four LED DRL elements, bumper-integrated headlights, and a coupe-like rear with connected LED taillights.

Inside, the Macan EV shares its premium design with the Porsche Cayenne, featuring a 12.6-inch curved digital cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment display as standard. The top-spec variant adds a triple-screen layout, with an optional 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen for enhanced entertainment.
