Okaya Ferrato Disruptor electric motorcycle launched at Rs 1.60 lakh

With the release of its debutante model, Disruptor, Okaya’s premium electric two-wheeler brand, Ferrato, has made its debut in the Indian market. Prices start at ₹1.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The company intends to sell the product in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bangalore. Ferrato Disruptor deliveries will begin within 90 days.

The Ferrato Disruptor is powered by a 6.4 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), which produces a maximum torque of 228 Nm and a nominal torque of 45 Nm. Ferrato has indicated that the motorcycle’s peak speed will be 95 kmph.

The fixed battery pack is 3.97 kWh and has a riding range of 129 km on a single charge, which should be sufficient for everyday city trips. According to the company, the battery can be charged from 0% to 100% in five hours. The e-bike has three riding modes: eco, city and sports. These riding modes may be selected using a switch on the handlebar.

The chassis has 17-inch alloy wheels, a monoshock unit in the rear and telescopic suspension up front. Additionally, the Ferrato Disruptor has GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellphone connectivity with geo-fencing and locate my bike features.

By the end of this year, Okaya’s premium brand aims to introduce two more products under the Ferrato brand, in addition to the Disruptor: an e-bike and a premium e-scooter.
