Rakhi Sawant opens up about her tumour diagnosis and surgery plans says, ‘I’m a fighter’

Rakhi Sawant revealed that she has a 10-cm tumour in her uterus and further mentioned that she will have to undergo surgery soon.

Rakhi Sawant, an actress and Bigg Boss contestant, has been hospitalised in Mumbai for a few days now, and on Thursday night, she informed the media that a huge tumour had been discovered in her uterus, for which she would shortly have surgery. Rakhi broke down while sharing the news with the media, saying she has always been a fighter and vows to come back stronger.

Rakhi gave the media an update on her health on Thursday, revealing that she had no knowledge she had a cancer growing in her uterus. “I was dancing in a towel in front of the paparazzi that day, but when I went home, I fainted. Ritesh rushed me to the hospital, and after tests, we found out I have a tumour. I have a 10 cm tumour and will have surgery on Saturday,” she told the media.

She broke down in front of her friends in the media and referred to herself as a ‘fighter’. “I’ve never given up in life and fought many obstacles and battles since childhood. I am going to fight in the operation theatre as well. I know nothing will happen to me as I have my mother’s blessings. I am a fighter and I will come back. Chhota sa tumour he toh hai, nikal jayega,” she remarked through tears.

“I’ll come back and dance and sing. I’ll entertain people again. I can’t talk much about my health right now, but Ritesh will keep you all updated,” she added.

For those who are unaware, Ritesh is Rakhi’s former husband, with whom she appeared on Bigg Boss 15.

Rakhi was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, May 14, with Ritesh originally claiming she had ‘heart-related problems’. However, it was later established that she had a stomach ache, which is why she was admitted to the hospital.
