Mercedes-Benz India recently introduced the CLE Cabriolet priced at Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom). The CLE, which debuted globally in July of last year, is only available in the convertible body style in India.
Mercedes CLE Cabriolet Features
The new CLE is built on Mercedes’ Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform, which is shared with the existing C-Class and forthcoming next-generation. The CLE shares stylistic features with the outgoing E-Class coupe and cabriolet, including a wide grille with a shark-nose effect, a tall bonnet and an automated, multi-layered fabric hood that folds neatly into the trunk.
Its interior has the same design as the C-Class, with an 11.9-inch infotainment display in portrait mode and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Its newly designed front seats come standard with headrests, heating and four-way lumbar support.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine of the CLE Cabriolet 300, which is mated to a 48V mild hybrid system and produces 258 horsepower and 400Nm of maximum torque, has been introduced to the Indian market. The engine is connected to a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission as standard. The CLE Cabriolet, according to Mercedes, can reach its maximum speed of 250 kph in just 6.6 seconds from zero to 100 kph.
