Mahindra is making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) segment with the introduction of its new XEV and BE sub-brands. After unveiling the XEV 9e and BE 6e, the Indian automaker is gearing up to launch another groundbreaking electric SUV: the XEV 7e. Based on the XUV700, the XEV 7e combines Mahindra’s cutting-edge INGLO EV platform with a more traditional yet modern design approach, making it a highly anticipated addition to India’s growing EV market.
The XEV 7e, inspired by the XUV.e8 concept, will bring a more traditional SUV design compared to the futuristic styling of the XEV 9e and BE 6e. While its overall shape will closely resemble the ICE-powered XUV700, the XEV 7e will feature modern touches such as Y-shaped LED DRLs connected by an LED light bar and a closed grille. The triple-screen interior layout from the XEV 9e will be carried over, alongside three-row seating for enhanced practicality.
Powertrain options for the XEV 7e are expected to mirror those of the XEV 9e. The latter offers two battery packs: a 59 kWh unit paired with a 231 hp motor and a 79 kWh unit delivering 286 hp. These configurations could provide a balanced mix of performance and range for the XEV 7e.
