Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES) reported total tractor sales of 34,934 units in March 2025, marking a 34% year-on-year increase compared to 26,024 units sold in March 2024. This figure includes domestic sales of 32,582 units (up from 24,276 units last year) and export sales of 2,352 units, which also saw a 35% jump from 1,748 units in the same month a year ago.

With this performance, the company concluded FY25 with record annual sales of 4,24,641 units—a 12% increase over 3,78,386 units sold in FY24. Domestic tractor sales for the fiscal stood at 4,07,094 units, up 12%, while exports grew 27% to 17,547 units.

Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector, credited the performance to favorable weather conditions, good reservoir levels, and strong farm sentiments. “We have achieved our highest-ever tractor sales in FY25, driven by very strong retail sales across the country and the lowest-ever dealer channel inventory,” he said.

The company expects the positive momentum to continue into Q1 FY26, aided by strong rabi harvests and sustained rural demand.
