Mahindra has officially commenced bookings for its highly anticipated born-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, aligning with its “Unlimit Love” theme on Valentine’s Day. Interested buyers can reserve their units online through Mahindra’s official website or visit their nearest dealership.
The performance-focused BE 6 comes with a starting price of ₹19.4 lakh (ex-showroom), while its bigger sibling, the XEV 9e, starts at ₹22.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra is also offering attractive payment plans for the top-tier variants, making ownership more convenient for EV enthusiasts.
Since the price announcement, Mahindra has already dispatched 1,837 units of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, with a total production of 2,281 units. The company is gearing up to ramp up production in the coming months to meet the growing demand.
Both SUVs share Mahindra’s advanced INGLO platform, featuring two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit. Initially, both models will be available with the 59 kWh battery, capable of fast charging from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC charger. The 79 kWh variant, expected later, offers an impressive ARAI-certified range of 682 km. The smaller battery delivers 228 bhp, while the larger one generates 278 bhp, with both versions providing 380 Nm of torque.
Mahindra has planned a phased delivery schedule, with the Pack Three variant set to arrive by mid-March 2025. The other variants, including Pack Three Select, Pack Two, and the entry-level models, will follow between June and August 2025.
