Jaguar’s all-new electric 4-door GT, based on the Type 00 concept, is set to be unveiled by late 2025, with showrooms receiving it shortly after. The first phase of the launch will target markets like the UK and the USA, expected in late 2025 or early 2026. India, however, will be part of the second phase, with the launch anticipated between late 2026 and early 2027, as per Autocar India.
In an interaction with Autocar India, Jaguar’s Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, spoke confidently about the brand’s prospects in India, emphasizing that the new electric GT will elevate Jaguar’s presence in the luxury segment. “The new styling direction will resonate well with India’s elite customers, positioning this model as a must-have for the luxury market,” Glover said during the preview of the Type 00 in the UK.
Although pricing details are yet to be revealed, Glover assured that the new electric GT would push Jaguar further up from its current position in the mass-premium segment. With sleek, futuristic design and cutting-edge electric technology, this model aims to attract India’s affluent buyers who are increasingly shifting towards sustainable luxury vehicles.
Jaguar’s focus on blending performance, luxury, and eco-conscious innovation with the new 4-door GT shows their commitment to meeting the demands of the evolving Indian automotive market, setting the stage for a strong debut in phase 2.
