The Hyundai Alcazar made its debut in India on Monday, with an introductory price of ₹14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Alcazar is generally regarded as the elder sibling of the highly successful Hyundai Creta and while it has not achieved the same degree of success in this market, it remains a slightly popular choice among those looking for the practicality and space of an MPV with the exterior design of an SUV.
There are four different versions of the Hyundai Alcazar 2024: Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature. The six-seater model and the seven-seater option are the two seating options for the SUV that the Korean auto giant continues to offer. The diesel variants are available at an introductory price of ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the petrol variants are priced starting at ₹14.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
There are two engine options available for the latest Hyundai Alcazar. A 1.5L Turbo GDi petrol engine with 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque is available. The engine will be coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. There is also a 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel engine with 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This engine comes with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Along with updating the exterior, Hyundai also changed the inside colour theme of the Alcazar SUV. In its most recent avatar, the SUV is now available in a dual-tone colour scheme of noble brown and haze navy.
