Hero MotoCorp recently introduced the 2024 Xtreme 160R to the Indian market. It comes with a couple of new features but the specs and design remain mostly the same. The Xtreme 160R 2V is only available in Stealth Black colour with a single disc configuration and costs Rs 1,11,111 ex-showroom.
The Xtreme 160R 2V now has the same drag racing and 0-60kph timers as the 4V model. The updated taillight and the single-piece seat are just two of the noticeable upgrades that have been carried forward from the 4V. Hero claims the seat has a flatter seat profile, which improves overall comfort and the pillion seat height level has been greatly lowered compared to before.
Due to the rear drum brake, the Xtreme 160R 2V is only offered in a single black configuration with single-channel ABS. The same 163.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor producing 15 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm powers the Xtreme 160R 2V.
The front and rear tyres are sized the same as the Xtreme 160R 4V, measuring 100/80-17 and 130/70-R17, respectively.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V costs Rs 1.11 lakh, which is Rs 28,000 less than the 4V. The Bajaj Pulsar N150 (Rs 1.25 lakh) and the Yamaha FZ range of motorcycles (Rs 1.17 lakh – Rs 1.30 lakh) are competitors of the Xtreme 160R 2V.
