BMW i4 Facelift to debut next week at Auto China 2024; What to expect

The BMW Group has big plans for the next Beijing Motor Show, also known as Auto China 2024. On the eve of the event, there will be a glamorous event where two highly awaited electric models—the 2025 i4 facelift and the brand-new MINI Aceman—will be unveiled, as per HT Auto.

As per the publication, the 2025 BMW i4 is expected to get significant upgrades based on the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible, which debuted in January of this year. The electric luxury vehicle is set to have a new front look, with new LED DRLs, modified headlights and a revamped grille. The back bumpers are expected to be modified, with laser taillights for a striking design.

In addition, the BMW i4 will sport a new touchscreen infotainment system, a modified flat-bottom steering wheel and the iDrive 8.5 user interface. The German manufacturer is also likely to change the dashboard layout and feature list for the vehicle, as well as boost the use of sustainable materials.

Under the hood, significant improvements in electric motor and battery technology are expected, which might lead to multiple i4 iterations with improved performance, safety and range. The current BMW i4 iDrive 40 model, which is available in India, has excellent specs, including 335  bhp, 430 Nm of peak torque and a claimed range of 590 km on a single charge. However, these numbers are expected to be changed in the updated version.
