Ashok Leyland, one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, reported its sales performance for June 2025, reflecting a largely stable trend with notable growth in the bus segment.

The company sold a total of 15,333 vehicles (including exports) during June 2025, marking a 3% rise compared to 14,940 units sold in the same month last year. This growth was primarily driven by a sharp surge in Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) bus sales, which jumped 56% year-on-year to 3,172 units. The performance of the M&HCV truck segment, however, saw a slight dip of 11%, recording 6,657 units this June compared to 7,489 units in June 2024.

Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) also held steady with a 2% increase in sales, rising to 5,504 units from 5,421 units a year earlier. On a cumulative basis for the April to June quarter (Q1 FY26), Ashok Leyland sold 44,238 vehicles, showing a marginal improvement over 43,893 units in the corresponding period last year.

Domestically, the company recorded sales of 14,184 units in June 2025, slightly below the 14,261 units sold in June 2024. While domestic M&HCV truck sales declined by 12%, bus sales surged by 42% during the same period.
