All India Kisan Sangrash Coordination Committee calls for Punjab bandh on September 25 against Agriculture Bills

The Punjab unit of the All India Kisan Sangrash Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) has called for a state-wide bandh in Punjab on September 25 against the Agriculture Bills.

The Punjab unit of the All India Kisan Sangrash Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) has called for a state-wide bandh in Punjab on September 25 against the Agriculture Bills. 31 farmers associations have extended their solidarity for the bandh.

The farmer unions have appealed to people of Punjab to shut their shops,factories, rail, road transport or any type of services on September 25. Only essential services to remain operational on that day. Kisan Mazdoor Sangrash Committee has also announced a ‘rail roko’ protest from September 24 to 26.

“We support rail roko and pakka morchas. Now all unions are on a common platform. We need to stay united in this hour,”Jagmohan Singh Patiala, general secretary, Bhartiya Kisan Union-Ekta said. The unions are seeking to intensify their protests in the coming days so that their demands are met promptly by the Central government.
