Walter Isaacson to write Elon Musk’s second biography

The release date of Musk’s new biography is not disclosed yet.

On August 5, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, revealed on Twitter that Apple co-founder Steve Job’s biographer Walter Isaacson was writing his new biography.

Musk’s first biography known as Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future was released in the year 2015 and was penned by business columnist Ashlee Vance. The book was named among the best books of the year by many American publications like Fast Company, National Public Radio (NPR) as well as The Wall Street Journal.

Isaacson, who worked as Time Magazine’s Editor, held the position of CEO at both CNN and Aspen Institute. In 2013, He was awarded the Benjamin Franklin Medal. He was chosen for the Jefferson Lecture, the US Federal Government’s highest honour for achievement in the field of humanities in 2014.

A fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, Isaacson, has also authored books like American Sketches (2009), Einstein: His Life and Universe (2007) and Benjamin Franklin: An American Life (2003).

Earlier, Isaacson had compared Tesla CEO to Steve Jobs in an interview with Yahoo Finance by saying, “In some ways, he’s the Steve Jobs of our time, he’s crazy enough to think he can change the world and thus he might be one of the ones who do change the world.”
