Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that he will be hosting a dinner party at Delhi’s famous Ashoka hotel for the outbound President, Shri Ram Nath Kovind bidding him farewell and relief from his duties.
President Ram Nath Kovind was elected as the president of India on 25th July 2017. Succeeding Congress veteran and former union minister, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Thus, to become the 14th President of India. President Kovind is a Dalit hailing from a village named Paraunkh in the Kanpur Dehat district. Making him the first person from Uttar Pradesh to hold the highest office in the country.
