Kalyan Singh’s health condition critical, informs hospital

Kalyan Singh aged 89 has been intubated and is put on the life-saving support system following his health deterioration on Tuesday.

Kalyan Singh, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is in a critical health condition as informed by Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow on Wednesday.

Kalyan Singh aged 89 has been intubated and is put on the life-saving support system following his health deterioration on Tuesday. Doctors notified that his clinical parameters are being closely monitored by the expert consultants.

The hospital’s statement stated that the senior faculty of critical care medicine (CCM), cardiology, nephrology, neurology, and endocrinology are keeping a close watch on all the aspects related to his health.

The former Chief Minister who is also the former governor of Rajasthan was admitted to the ICU of the hospital on July 4 due to infection and reduced consciousness level. 

Reportedly, Kalyan Singh complained about his body swelling. In accordance with the blood tests, his urea and creatinine levels were also reported to be elevated.

Prior to being admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science in Lucknow, he was undergoing treatment at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. He had been suffering from various health ailments for nearly two weeks.

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went to meet Kalyan Singh at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital on July 4.
