Mukesh Ambani has announced another promotion in the family. After his son Akash Ambani had been named the Chairman of Reliance Jio. His daughter, the Stanford and Yale alumna Isha Ambani is all set to become the Chairman of Reliance’s Retail unit.
According to informed sources who declined to be named before an official announcement. Isha Ambani’s promotion might be announced as soon as this Wednesday. As of now she retains her position officially as the director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd. Isha Ambani’s succession was announced very soon after her twin brother was appointed as the Chairman of Reliance Jio. Isha and Akash both have been part of teams that had previously negotiated with Meta Platform Inc’s investment in the group.
The heading of the baton from one generation to another has been seen in many multi-billion dollar worth families. Moreover, such as the Jindals, Tatas, Waltons and Kochs.
