Rajya Sabha MP and Former leader of Samajwadi Party – Amar Singh passes away at 64 on 1st Aug 2020 from illness. He was being treated in Singapore for kidney related problems for the past few months. Earlier in 2016, Singh was diagnosed and treated and was healthy after the treatment in Dubai.
He left the SP after Akhilesh Yadav took lead in 2017, He was retained from the party in 2010 but was back after a period of time.
Major politicians like Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and others paid respect and showed condolences by writing on the death of Former SP leader.

He was active on social media and has also made his last tweet from the official Twitter account was made couple of hours before his sad demise and clearly portrays how unpredictable life is.
