
Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and former Samajwadi Party leader, Amar Singh, took his last breath today. It has been reported that Singh had a prolonged illness for which he was receiving treatment in a medical facility in Singapore.
It has been reported that Singh had a kidney ailment for which he had been treated years back. In 2013, he fainted at the Dubai airport, while on his way to Singapore and he had received the treatment a few years before that. He was on his way to Singapore for a regular check up at that time.
Singh, who was once considered Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh’s confidant, took Twitter to honor the freedom fighter and educationist, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, on his death anniversary. Singh also expressed his greetings and wishes to everyone on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha.

Singh concluded his political career with serving as an elected independent member of the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh till his last breath.
