Central Depository Services (India) shares surged 5.98% to a record high of Rs 2,955 apiece after the company announced a 1:1 bonus share issue on Monday.
The total number of demat accounts increased to 154m in Apr’24. New account additions were flat at 3.1m in Apr’24 (average monthly additions of 3.1m in FY24), a report from leading domestic brokerage firm Motilal Oswal said.
CDSL became the first depository to register 5 crore Demat accounts in November 2021.
The T +1 settlement cycle will be implemented in a phased manner and the first list of securities with T +1 settlement cycle will begin from trade date starting from February 25, 2022.
