Mihir Shah allegedly sped off towards the Bandra Worli Sea Link as the woman remained on the car’s bonnet and got stuck in its wheels for around 1.5 kilometres, according to the police investigation.

According to a Mumbai Police official, Shah was under the influence of alcohol when he allegedly slammed the two-wheeler with his car. To find out more about the chain of incidents, a Mumbai Police team recreated the accident scene. They also questioned Mihir Shah, 24, along with his family driver and co-accused Rajrishi Bidawat.

Bidawat was in the car when the accident happened. The police claimed that the driver had switched seats with Mihir on the instruction of Shiv Sena politician Rajesh Shah.

The Mumbai Police told the court that Mihir Shah drove the car from Girgaon to the sea link’s entry point in Worli, where the incident occurred.
