Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has weighed in strongly on the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions, stating that “war has been chosen by Pakistan” despite having had the opportunity to de-escalate.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sehwag wrote, “War has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet. They have escalated to save it’s terrorist assets, speaks so much about them. Our forces will reply in the most appropriate manner, a manner Pakistan will never forget.”
His remarks come amid heightened hostilities following India’s cross-border strikes on terror camps and subsequent Pakistani military actions. Sehwag’s message has resonated with many online, reflecting a wave of public sentiment in support of the Indian Armed Forces.
