
The government of Uttarakhand has decided to initiate a seven-day long curfew, from tomorrow, with an aim to mild down the effect of Covid -19. The lockdown is to be followed till 17 August. Last weeknight curfew was inhabited and other Covid-related curbs till 10 August due to an increase in the count of cases.
Chief secretary Sukhbir Singh Sindhu announced this order. He further said that the government and private schools which were opened for classes nine and 10 were asked to strictly follow the Covid standard operating procedure.
The administration staff in the district is to ensure the proper implementation of the rules and facilitate Covid-appropriate behaviour by tourists in the city since large crowds have been gathering there on weekends.
