On Saturday, Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, paid Union Home Minister Amit Shah a courtesy visit in New Delhi.
The Chief Minister said that despite being a hilly state, Uttarakhand is one of the pioneers in Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) computerization during his meeting with the Home Minister. According to the Chief Minister, 670 PACS in Uttarakhand spent a combined total of 18.76 crore rupees on various projects.
More than 108 PACS for the state, according to Mr. Dhami, have gone live. The Chief Minister’s office was informed that the remaining 502 committees must complete their work within the next six months. The Chief Minister also thanked Amit Shah for making the choice to computerise all PACS.
He asserted that this would fundamentally alter how societies function and rank among the most significant improvements ever made in the cooperative industry.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the 10th and current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, is a Bharatiya Janata Party member. In both 2012 and 2017, he won a seat in the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha as an MLA from Khatima. In 2021, he received his initial appointment as Chief Minister.
