Meena Harris, the niece of the new US vice-president, Kamala Harris, recently had come into the support of farmers who are protesting in India from past few months against the three farm reforms.
After that, social media users from India slammed Meena Harris for being a part of international propaganda against India. In response, Meena pinned this tweet on her timeline, making it the top tweet users “I won’t be intimidated, and I won’t be silenced”.
I won’t be intimidated, and I won’t be silenced.

Meena Harris also quoted one of her tweets to quote, “This isn’t just about agricultural policy. It’s also about the persecution of a vocal religious minority. It’s police violence, militant nationalism, and attacks on labor rights. It’s global authoritarianism. Don’t tell me to stay out of your affairs. These are all of our issues.”

A few days ago, Meena Harris was a largely unknown name in India. Now, her full-throated support of the farmers’ agitation has made her a darling of the pro-protests brigade and a villain on the other side of the barricades.
Harris has been a supporter of social justice causes and founded the “Phenomenal Women Action Campaign” in 2016, “disenchanted” with American politics. She has condemned white supremacy, promoted grassroots activism, and supported gender equality.
