Tomorrow, the Mumbai Metro Rail will open for public use of transport. The Maharashtra Government announced today that the Metro Rail will operate and also mentioned that the public libraries will also be opening.
Though the government has asked for precautionary measures for the opening, the opening will be in a very guarded manner. Along with the metro and public libraries, business-to-business exhibitions, animal marketplaces and supermarkets will be opened. Markets and shops will stay open from 9 am to 9 pm.
UNLOCK 5 includes lifting lockdown measures for transportation and public places. However, no comments are yet passed on whether or not opening temples would be a part of UNLOCK 5. Incoming domestic passengers to Maharashtra via flight or train will have stamps rejection for arrivals after October 15. Gyms, swimming pools, places of worship, schools, educational institutions, and cinema halls will progress functionality according to current lockdown measures.
