Amit Shah had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month, on August 2 and was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for treatment. He had then informed all those who had come into contact with him for the past days to get themselves tested for Coronavirus.
A team of doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was also providing assistance in overseeing Amit Shah’s treatment.
He was the first Union cabinet minister to test positive for Coronavirus.
