The United Nations commemorates its 75th anniversary virtually with world leaders. The high- level meeting discussed the theme, “The Future We Want, the UN We Need: Reaffirming our Collective Commitment to Multilateralism.” The meeting was agreed upon and signed in July 2020.
The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, said that the aim of the meeting was for world leaders to work together to solve problems that have arisen from the pandemic and assert it’s solidarity and effectiveness, which has been questioned by diplomats and countries.
