
Suspected terrorists stole a weapon from a Central Reserve Police Force officer in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama area on Sunday, according to news agency ANI.
“An incident of a security personnel’s weapon being snatched has been reported from the Rajpora region of Pulwama,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police stated.
The area has been blocked off, according to officials. Soon after the incident, the police, army, and CRPF initiated a combined search for the individual.
The firearm was eventually seized from the individual, who was later identified as Irfan Bashir Ganie.
“With the assistance of family, Police brought back Irfan Bashir Ganie, aged about 25 years from below Pulwama along with AK-47 rifle which he snatched from CRPF personnel today. Investigation going on. We appreciate the role of family,” said ADGP Kashmir.
