Sonia Gandhi visited Bheemana Kolli temple close to Mysuru

Senior Congressman Radeep Singh Surjewala said on Wednesday that Sonia Gandhi performed Dussehra rituals at the neighbouring Bheemana Kolli temple.

Radeep Singh Surjewala, a senior member of the Congress, claimed on Wednesday that Sonia Gandhi went to the nearby Bheemana Kolli temple and did Dussehra prayers.

“Smt. Sonia Gandhi offering #Dussehra Prayers at Bheemanakolli Temple in Begur Village in HD Kote Assembly, Karnataka today. Simple, serene & sincere – away from politicking & in the true spirit of #vijaydashami .#Dusshera2022,” Surjewala, who is also a Congress Working Committee Member, said in a tweet.

The difference between Sonia Gandhi’s politics and those of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to Surjewala, is that while the PM holds simple prayers in the election-bound Himachal Pradesh, Sonia offers simple vote-gathering rallies.

“The #Dusshera festival is about a resolve to walk on the path of truth, duty & fighting injustice in the footsteps of Lord Ram. Difference is clear – ▪️56” holding vote garnering rallies in the election going state of H.P. ▪️Smt. Sonia Gandhi offering prayers with simplicity,” he tweeted.

After a two-day hiatus owing to Dussehra festivities, Sonia Gandhi will take part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi on Thursday morning.

Due to health concerns, this is the first time the AICC President has taken to the streets to take part in a political demonstration.
