On the 5th of September, India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and General Wei Fenghe of the People’s Liberating Army, China held a meeting in Moscow to discuss the de-escalation of the tensions at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
While there was no formal conclusion to the discussions, reports suggest that India insisted that the status-quo be returned to what it was before April.

The Indian Ministry Defense said that Rajnath Singh “stated clearly that while the Indian troops had always taken a very responsible approach towards border management, at the same time there should also be no doubt about our determination to protect India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
China’s statement has become a cause for concern, “The relationship between the two countries and the armed forces has been severely affected by the border issue recently. Cause and truth of the current tension on the border between China and India are very clear, and the responsibility lies entirely with India.”
