
The National Commission of Women (NCW) has issued a fresh summons to Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, after they failed to appear before the commission on February 17, over alleged derogatory remarks made on the show, India’s Got Latent.
The reports have suggested that Ranveer and Samay failed to appear in front of commission due to logistical challenges and safety concerns, which prompted rescheduling dates.
The news reports have claimed that Ranveer has requested for an extension of three weeks, leading to the NCW to reschedule his hearing for March 6, 2025. Apoorva Mukhija, who has also been receiving death threats is granted an option of appearing virtually until conditions stabilize. Her hearing has been set for March 6.
Meanwhile, Samay is currently in US for a pre-planned tour, and has assured the NCW of his availability upon return, resulting in an new hearing date of March 11. Similarly, Jasprit Singh, who is currently on a tour in Paris, will return on March 10 and is now scheduled to appear on March 11 along Balraj Ghai.
Also, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra has not responded to the summons, and the NCW has rescheduled their summons for March 6.
