Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi experienced heavy rain on Wednesday evening, dampening the spirit of Durga Puja celebrations. The downpour, accompanied by thunder, left many people disappointed as they had planned to visit Puja pandals and fairs. The unseasonal rain disrupted the mood, forcing people to stay indoors.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected to continue in parts of the state, including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Bokaro, Giridih, Jamtara, Hazaribagh, and Ramgarh. However, the weather is likely to remain normal in other districts.
The rain has also affected the local markets. Many people have been reluctant to step out for shopping during Durga Puja due to the wet conditions, leaving shopkeepers concerned about a decline in business during this festive period.
