Farmers “Rail Roko” agitation has entered the sixth day. The protesters of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee have been sitting on rail tracks as a sign of their disapproval since September 24. They have been silently sitting as a mark of protest at Jalandhar, Amritsar, Tanda, Mukerian and Ferozepur.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that he would fight the Centre’s malicious new Agriculture Acts to protect the farmers. Singh also said he will approach the Supreme Court over the Farm Laws.

Currently, he is meeting the Farmer Organisations heads with all social distancing norms observing the Coronavirus pandemic.
