While extending wishes on Hindi Diwas, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the language has been working to “unify the whole country” since centuries and appealed to the people to use the Hindi language along with their mother tongue.
“Hindi is an unbreakable part of India’s culture. During Independence struggle, the Hindi language was one of the biggest media to unite people,” Shah said in a thread of tweets in Hindi. Modi government’s new National Education Policy will help the development of Hindi and other languages as well, he added.
