“Would rather prefer die than…” Shivraj Singh Chouhan on asking position from party

“There is a mission in Bharatiya Janata Party, there is some work for every worker in it. I will do whatever work the party gives me,” said Chouhan.

A statement of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is getting viral, in which he is saying that he would rather prefer to die than asking for favours from party high command. While addressing a press conference, Ex CM Shivraj praised the party’s move handing over the CM post to CM-elect Mohan Yadav, MLA from Ujjain region.

On leaving the CM post, Shivraj Chouhan said: “An ordinary worker was made the CM for 18 years by the BJP. The party gave me everything. Now, it is time for me to give something to the BJP.”

On being asked that whether he will reach out to BJP leadership for asking another position, Chouhan replied: “I say one thing with great humility, I would rather die than ask for something for myself.”

“There is a mission in Bharatiya Janata Party, there is some work for every worker in it. I will do whatever work the party gives me,” he added.

On Wednesday, the CM-elect Mohan Yadav will take oath as the chief minister of the state.
