On Saturday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC and Telanagana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter K Kavitha made a series of attacks against the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi. “Rahul Gandhi is not a ‘Babbar Sher’, he is a paper tiger. Because whatever anybody writes and gives it to him, that is the only thing he will read and go away. He does not understand the local situation, he does not understand local politics, and he does not respect or understand the local traditions or culture of this region,” said BRS MLC K Kavitha, as quoted by ANI.

“Please come to Telangana, but please review what you are saying in public. Telangana is a state which has the highest political awareness because we fought for our state, we gave our lives for our state. Next time you come here, don’t just go to a ‘dosa bandi’ and eat dosa but go to a mother of a martyr of Telangana, then you will know the pain, then you will understand the issue of Telangana. Otherwise, you will not understand,” she further added.

Rahul Gandhi’s family ruined Telangana: K Kavitha

A day ago, K Kavitha also made serious allegations against former Prime Ministers – Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. She said: “I totally agree with him (Rahul Gandhi) that he has family ties with Telangana. It was Jawaharlal Nehru who forcefully merged us into Andhra Pradesh and killed our aspirations. Then in 1969 when we demanded a separate state, it was Indira Gandhi who killed 369 of our youth in firing. It was Rajiv Gandhi who insulted our Chief Minister who was from the OBC community.”

K Kavitha lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that he never spoke in support of Telangana and his family has full contribution in ruining Telangana. “In the last 10 years, Rahul Gandhi never spoke in support of Telangana. He never stood with us. Yes, your family has full contribution in ruining Telangana. The people of Telangana will definitely show this to you in the elections,” said K Kavitha.

Voting on November 30

Voting for 119 assembly seats in Telangana will be held in a single phase on November 30, while the counting of votes will be held on December 3. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is in power in Telangana, while Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are trying to challenge them.

In the last assembly elections held in the state in 2018, BRS (then TRS) had retained its power by winning 88 seats. At the same time, Congress won 19 seats and AIMIM won seven seats. BJP had to be satisfied with just one seat.
