Telangana Election 2023: BRS promises 2BHK flats, free insurance for BPLs in manifesto

Telangana CM KCR released the manifesto of BRS for the upcoming Telangana assembly elections, in which free insurance facility for BPL families and 2BHK flats for needy ones.

After the announcement of assembly election dates in Telangana, the ruling party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) released its election manifesto on Sunday (October 15). Many populist promises have been made to the public in the BRS manifesto.

In the manifesto, BRS has promised to provide gas cylinders for Rs 400 to all eligible families. The manifesto said that the party will gradually increase the amount received under the Rythu Bandhu scheme from Rs 10,000 to Rs 16,000 per year.

Insurance of Rs 5 lakh

Releasing the manifesto, BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) said the social security pension for disabled people will be increased to Rs 6,000. Apart from this, 93 lakh BPL families in Telangana will get insurance of Rs 5 lakh under KCR Insurance Scheme.

BRS will also continue the ‘Dalit Bandhu’ scheme of grant of Rs 10 lakh per family. According to the manifesto, the coverage of KCR Arogya Raksha Yojana and Arogyasri Bhim Yojana will increase to Rs 15 lakh.

‘Will give life insurance to 93 lakh families’ 

Apart from this, Rythu Bandhu will be systematically increased by Rs 16000 per acre every year. 5 lakh insurance scheme for all BPL card holders under KCR Bhim Pratha Intiki Dhima Scheme, 100 percent premium will be paid by the government through LIC. Covering 93 lakh families will cost Rs 3000 to 4000 crore.

1 lakh 2BHK houses will be built in Hyderabad 

The manifesto said that 1 lakh 2BHK houses will be built in Hyderabad and people who do not have land will be identified and given benefits under the Griha Lakshmi scheme. Apart from this, the party has also promised to build 119 residential schools for economically backward students in the state.

Promise to convert junior colleges into residential colleges 

BRS in its manifesto has promised to convert minority junior colleges into residential colleges. Along with this, the party will also get a building constructed for women self-power groups. Releasing the manifesto, BRS chief KC Aur said, “We will study the transition from CPS to OPS pension for government employees. We will form a committee of senior officers and take steps accordingly.”

Increase in the amount of Aasra Pension

Chandrashekhar Rao said that Telangana Annapurna Scheme will also continue to provide rice to every ration card holder. He said, “We have fulfilled 99 percent of the promises of the last manifesto.” Aasra pension will be increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000.”
